Meeting Schedule

Starting in November, 2024 The Songwriters of Highlands Appalachia (SOHA) are changing venues and will meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at the Southwest Cultural Center and Marketplace at Exit 14 in Abingdon! We’ll meet downstairs any time after 6:00 until 8:30 PM.

Bring your guitar or just a notebook and come join us!  When you enter the building, there will be a jam session occurring on the stage. Please walk to the back of the audience and take the elevator on the right downstairs.  We’ll meet in the boardroom.  An electric keyboard will be there also if you need a keyboard. Bring a bottle of water.

If you bring guests, they are welcome to stay upstairs and hear the 4-5 different bands that take 30-minute turns playing on stage.  There will also be supper available for sale upstairs. Your guests are also welcome to observe our sessions.

The Crooked Road and The SWCC and Marketplace will graciously list our group in their advertisements and online sites.
